Hourly Rotation

Hourly Rotation lets you show the same image to everyone during the same hour. Unlike the standard rotation that changes every time someone clicks, this mode picks one image per hour and keeps it the same for all visitors — perfect for scheduled posts and broadcasts.

1. The Problem with Standard Rotation

The standard media link rotates on every click. If you send a broadcast to hundreds of people, each person who opens it advances the counter. This means:

  • Each visitor sees a different image
  • Your planned order gets scrambled
  • You cannot predict which image appears at which time

2. How Hourly Rotation Works

Instead of counting clicks, the system picks an image based on the current hour. Everyone who opens the link during that hour sees the exact same image.

Simple Example

Imagine you have 4 images in your list:

Time Image Shown
8:00 AMImage 1
9:00 AMImage 2
10:00 AMImage 3
11:00 AMImage 4
12:00 PMImage 1 (starts over)

The images cycle through in order and start over after the last one. Every person who visits during the 10:00 AM hour will see Image 3 — guaranteed.

Key Benefit: Perfect consistency. Schedule a post for 2 PM and every single viewer sees the same image for that entire hour.

3. Finding the Hourly Showcase

To see your hourly rotation timeline:

  1. Log into your account.
  2. Go to Media → Manager List Media.
  3. Look for the Showcase Hourly option.
  4. You will see every list with its hour-by-hour preview.
Tip: Click "Test" on any URL in the Showcase page to see exactly what your audience will see right now.

4. Getting Your Hourly Link

Every media list automatically gets an hourly rotation link. You can copy it from the Showcase Hourly page or build it yourself:

yoursite.com/media/go_hourly/{user_id}/{tag_name}/asc

Just replace {user_id} with your ID and {tag_name} with the name of your media list. Use asc for first-to-last order or desc for last-to-first.

Paste this link into your broadcast campaign, social media post, or anywhere you would normally use a media link.

5. Standard vs Hourly Rotation

Feature Standard Rotation Hourly Rotation
What changes the image? Each click The current hour
Consistency Every visitor may see something different All visitors see the same image each hour
Best for Random variety across visitors Scheduled posts and broadcasts
Predictable? No Yes

6. Practical Use Cases

Scheduled Social Media Posts

Plan your content by the hour. When your scheduled post goes live, every viewer sees the image you intended for that time slot.

Digital Signage & Displays

Set up a screen that automatically switches content every hour. No manual work needed.

Consistent Broadcasting

Send a broadcast link to thousands of subscribers. Everyone who opens it during the same hour sees the same message — no more scrambled rotation.

Changing Every Few Hours

Want the image to switch every 2, 4, or 8 hours instead of every hour? That is also possible — contact support or check the advanced settings in the Showcase page for details on custom intervals.

Tip: Open the Showcase Hourly page to preview exactly which image will appear at each hour. Use it to plan your content calendar before you publish!
